A Summer Day in the Forest

A few weeks ago, I was strolling around one of my favorite spots when I realized how different a non-perennial forest can look from season to season. In this photo, everything is green, the trees still have all of their leaves, and the ferns on the ground have an intense green color due to a recent drizzle.

It was early in the morning, and a low blanket of thick clouds helped me to capture this high contrast scene. It was also a windy day, so that helped to create the blurred appearance in the ferns and in some of the tree branches.

I shot this photo on my way from the Health Sanctuary in the Collsacabra region to the Enchanted Rocks (Province of Girona, Catalonia). That day, I had a great time exploring the surroundings. In fact, I’m planning to show you another photo from that day featuring a mushroom taller than a two-story house!
