The Rocca Sforzesca of Imola (Italy)
Constructed around the 14th century, this beautiful castle is found in the city of Imola, which is in the province of Bologna, in the Emilia–Romagna region of north–central Italy.
In the beginning of the 20th century, the castle was used at a prison for Nazi criminals. The castle was restored 50 years ago; today it serves as a museum, an open-air theater, and as the Head Office for the International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro.” Since its restoration, many important art exhibitions and musical performances have been held in this beautiful fortress.
