Strolling Around La Fageda d’en Jordà (Catalonia)

Last weekend I was visiting one of my favorite places, La Fageda d’en Jordà. During the last years, I have been there at least once or twice a year. For me, it is a unique place where is easy to put my mind at rest, and enjoy the landscape by myself or with friends. Moreover, with an ever-changing landscape is easy to find always a new hideout to photograph.

The night before my visit it was raining. When I arrived there, I could hear the relaxing symphony of a thousand water drops constantly dripping down the trees; and I also felt that fresh and earthy smell that I love. And after a long long summer, that resisted to go away, that morning I could felt the fresh air in my face; I guess that autumn is finally here.

La Fageda is in the middle of the “La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park”, a place with a lot of volcanos, gorgeous forests, medieval towns, and plenty of routes that pass thought the Park’s most interesting places. It’s not far from Barcelona, or Girona; a great place to enjoy a weekend getaway. Are you ready for a visit?
