Tines de Solanes

I took this photo really close to Talamanca's torrent (Catalonia), just in the middle of no where. It's curious to see how during the XVIII century a lot of stone-made wine vats where builded like that, without a farm house close to it. The reason was that during that period of time there were vineyards everywhere and to avoid logistic problems they decided to produce the wine close to vineyards. These lonely constructions were very usual on the Montcau Valleys but more rare on other parts of Catalonia.
