Passeig Jaume I (Salou, Catalonia)

I have no doubt that Passeig Jaume I is one of the busiest parts of Salou. The shade of its palm trees, fountains, and gardens make it an ideal place to hide from the heat of the day.

In the middle of the promenade, you can see this monument commemorating the expedition that Jaume I made to conquer Mallorca. Apparently, on November 28th of 1229, his ships set sail from here to the Balearic Islands.
