El Tossol (Fageda d'en Jordà , Catalonia)

This beautiful forest is called La Fageda d'en Jordà 🌳 , an extraordinary place that grows on top of a lava flow 🌋 . The territory is flat, but in it, you can see some characteristic protrusions that the locals call Tossols, the one in the photo is tiny. Still, some are up to 20 meters high.

Fall 🍁 is undoubtedly the best time to visit this forest, but each season has its charm.

It is part of the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa; if you are considering visiting Catalonia and you like nature, you cannot miss it.
