Carrer del Cacao (Guimerà, Catalonia)

If you like medieval villages, I'm sure walking around Guimerà won't leave you indifferent. This little gem is full of fantastic alleys that climb up to the remains of the castle that crowns the village.

This photo is from Cacao Street; when I saw the arcade and all the plants scattered along the street, I couldn't help myself; I had to make the umpteenth stop to photograph it.

Guimerà can be found in the Vall del Corb, in the province of Lleida. A great area to spend a few days exploring its villages and landscape.
