Promenade Jaume I (Salou, Catalonia)

I take this photo in Salou, the Capital of the Costa Daurada. It is from The Promenade Jaume I; one of the busies places, and also an important part of the city’s seafront. It runs in parallel to Platja de Llevant, the largest beach in the city.

I walked along this promenade many times. However, I never found the time to take my camera and make some photograph along it beautiful locations. There are many tall palm trees, flowers, and also a handful of fountains. And between all of that, a few maritime related objects like these huge anchors. I cannot imagine how heavy they are!

Throughout the day it is a non-stop of people, especially during the summer when tourists and locals enjoy it equally. Early in the morning, when the sun starts to rice, is the perfect place for running and walking while enjoying the breeze and sounds of the sea. During the sunny hours the palm trees are a great protection, and when the sun goes down many people go out to enjoy the great show of water, light, and color that is offered by some the ornamental light fountains along the avenue while enjoying a delicious ice-cream from the many stands, and restaurants.
